There is another way. One provider who knows you, time to listen, and direct access when something comes up.
It is not just stress. It is not just hormones. It is not just aging.
You deserve a provider who asks what is actually going on, sits with the answers, and treats the cause.
“I used to dread going to the doctors for the fear of feeling as if my health concerns didn’t really matter. I am always able to rely on Lynn for an answer.”Tyrai M., Google review
Most primary care today is shaped by what insurance will pay for, not what you actually need. Direct Primary Care is the alternative: you pay your provider directly, insurance stays out of the exam room, and your provider has time to actually take care of you.
Lynn founded Burtonsville Family Health in 2016 and has served the community for over a decade. She keeps her practice intentionally small. Not for exclusivity, but because real care takes time.
When you call Burtonsville Family Health, Shereen is the voice on the other end. She handles scheduling, answers your questions, and keeps the office running smoothly so Lynn can focus on your care.
Dear friends,
Some of you have been with me for years. We have shared laughs and tears, walked through everyday colds and life-changing diagnoses together. Some of you are finding me for the first time on this page. Either way, I am glad you are here.
I became a nurse practitioner because I wanted to actually sit with people. Not watch the clock. Not type while you talk. Ask the hard questions, and stay for the answers.
I have had patients meet me for the first time and start crying because no one had ever asked them the right questions before.
And I have patients who have been with me for years tell me they finally feel like they can bring the whole list. That is what this practice is for.
This membership is what makes it possible for me to actually do that work. No insurance in the exam room. No twelve other patients waiting outside. Just you and me, with as much time as we need.
I would love to be your provider. Call the office and let’s talk.
Four things every primary care visit used to have. Insurance quietly let them slip. The membership puts them back.
Call 301-476-9000A provider who knows your name, your history, and your story. Not a different face every visit. A real relationship built over time.
Direct text and email with Lynn. Same-day or next-day appointments. Telehealth for Maryland residents. No phone tag.
30 to 60 minute appointments. Long enough to actually talk. Long enough to bring the whole list.
Lynn doesn’t reach for the prescription pad first. She listens, asks why, and gets to the root of what’s actually going on.
All included in your monthly membership. Cancel anytime with a written 30-day notice.
“I finally found [a provider] who actually listens and goes out of their way to make sure you receive the best care possible. Lynn doesn’t just treat you like a patient, she treats you like a friend too.”Verified Yelp review
“She takes the time to listen to all of my concerns and never makes me feel rushed. She works tirelessly to find solutions that are tailored to my needs.”Sara T., Verified Healthgrades review, 2024
“Lynn is an excellent listener. She takes her time and is willing to answer your questions. Never rushed. Warm, caring, but most importantly, sincere, non-judgmental and encouraging.”Jody K., Google review

No copays. No long-term contracts.
Plus a one-time $129 onboarding fee for new members.
You’re still welcome here. The membership is what makes it possible for Lynn to keep practicing the way she always wanted to, and your history with her doesn’t go away because the insurance did.
“Thanks to my being able to text Lynn after office hours, she called the pharmacy on her own time and wrangled them into having my meds and supplies ready that night.”Anne, Aspen Hill MD · Verified Healthgrades review

Yes. The membership covers your primary care visits, direct access to Lynn, and phlebotomy (blood draws in-office so you don’t have to go to the lab). Labs and prescriptions are not included in the membership, but we send your insurance information to the lab so your plan covers those costs. You’ll still want insurance for hospital stays, specialists, emergencies, and major medical events. Many members save money overall by replacing copays and out-of-pocket primary care visits with one flat monthly fee.
DPC membership is a federally approved HSA expense as of 2026 and FSA approved in most cases. We’ll give you a paid receipt each month for reimbursement.
Many of our members have high-deductible plans. Their insurance still covers emergencies, hospital stays, and specialists. The membership covers everything else (visits, blood draws, texts to Lynn) for one flat monthly fee, instead of paying out of pocket every time until your deductible kicks in. Most members save money. Call us and we’ll walk through your specific numbers.
Lynn handles the referral, sends your records, and follows up with the specialist after your visit. Your insurance pays the specialist; Lynn stays your point of contact so nothing falls through the cracks.
While we ask for a 12-month commitment for consistent and best care, you are not locked in. We understand life changes, financial changes, and when you move from the area you may need to cancel. We ask for a 30-day written notice to cancel.
Concierge practices usually charge a high yearly fee (often thousands) AND still bill your insurance for each visit. DPC is simpler: a flat monthly membership, no insurance billing on either side. The same kind of personal attention, at a much lower cost.
Adults and children ages 6 and up. Children under 6 should have a pediatrician.
For in-person visits, no. Anyone can come to the Burtonsville office. For telehealth visits, yes. Lynn is licensed in Maryland, so virtual appointments are limited to Maryland residents. If you live in DC or Virginia and want to become a member, you’re welcome to see Lynn in person.
Lynn or someone on her team will answer your questions, walk you through how the membership works, and help you decide if it’s the right fit.
Members have direct text and portal access to Lynn. Messages sent outside business hours are answered by the next business morning. For true emergencies, always call 911.
Everything you love about your care stays. What changes is the model: no more insurance in between, longer visits, direct text access, and Lynn has more time for you because the practice is intentionally small. Call the office to talk through the transition.
